Spider

Ok not fan of them at all. I think I just met the spider from arachnophobia while doing some yard work.  It stood up on its hind legs with a venomous grin.  There was a strangely confident look on it as it approached me as well. 

 

I ran.  I think its still out there waiting….

American Idol

Ok seriously what is up with the fake fighting? We know reality shows love drama and the fact that Kara, Simon and Paula go at it just makes us talk about the show more, yet we know its set up.

 

I refuse to talk about this obvious ploy …..blogging is not the same . :)

Stimulus Package / Oscars

OK just watching the market again today and it just blows. The fear of nationalization of our banking system has really ripped the financial sector. It is up when I write this because the administration has backed off any talk of nationalization by taking a larger stake in Citibank. They might as well run the darn thing with the amount they are putting in ! How long do you think this downturn will be ? Do any of the economists really know ?

President Obama has the plan to tax families over 250K a year and give tax breaks to the middle class beneath that-but I'll tell ya I don't see alot of people that make that running around buying new cars and houses either. People are pulling back their spending and increasing taxes on those with some form of discretionary income is not a stimulus.

Oscars were great! I did miss a few parts putting Colin to sleep, but really enjoyed Hugh.
I thought he was spot on-Bill Maher not my cup of tea.

Was it just me or is Heath Ledgers sister quite pretty. I could not help but think someone there would want to put her in front of a camera.

Mickey R. is crazy! What does your face look like as a parent when he shows up dressed like that to take your daughter out :)

Did not see his movie, but kind of wished he nabbed the Oscar based on what everyone says he has gone through, and the loss of his beloved dog. I know I would vote for him based on that.....a sucker for a sob story.

Movie night

Watched the "Changeling" last night.
Great movie but oh my god any parent that sees this flick wants to
sleep on a mattress outside of their kids door. Well done and riveting
but just so darn sad.....tears were gently gracing the side of my cheek.

(translation) the Hoover dam broke.

Oscars are pretty good this year. Watching them now, Hugh has done
well.

Ok now I am geting hungry watching all these samplers !

New scam

I am watching people at Ralph's sample the soups with zero intention
of buying. This one guy just enjoyed a small container of tomato, corn
chowder, and a beef stew. I think he just had dinner :)

Day two

Ok the ac/heat guy is here again. I am sitting with Lucy (our dog) on
the coach waiting to hear the word. Apparently there is some short
somewhere-

Being a homeowner can be tons of fun.

Watching Obama today holding his press conference on the Senate vote
for the bailout package, one has the sense we have not hit bottom yet.
That is such a sobering thought-I went to our favorite Chinese place
for takeout last night, empty at 8pm. It should not have been. I
looked in the window on the way out in case I had missed some town
gossip, but there was an "A" in the window.

Like I said it is tough out there-

Everything is all screwed up now-

Colin woke up mad, Leilani is at the dentist- seriously I am naming
names if this does not get fixed!

I will tell you the name of the company we used....at least that way
maybe I can save you from this Nightmare!!

My house will be freeezing tonight

Ac and heat

We had to put a seperate thermostat (zone) in for my sons room . They
have been here all day- and it dont work, I have things broken now
that were fine before they started.

Traffic

I left the Grammys at Five pm and still not home yet. 7:35 pmTraffic
in LA sucks!
